How to use Stencils :Use a short, fat, stiff brush that you pounce the paint on with. This keeps the paint from leaking under the edges of your stencil. Use craft or house paint. If you are stenciling fabrics , mix the paint with textile medium in 50/50 ratio.
Place your stencil on the area you want the design, and hold in place with a little masking tape . Pour a little paint onto a plate, and dip just the tips of the bristles of the brush into the paint. Now pounce the brush onto an empty spot on the plate to get rid of excess paint. Use a very dry brush and cover the area. Remove the stencil and let it dry.
